In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

AlifLaamRa. Those are the verses of the Clear Book. 1 Verily We! We have sent it down, an Arabic Recitation, that haply ye may reflect. 2 Through the revelation of this Qur'an We narrate the best of histories of which you were unaware before. 3 Call to mind when Joseph said to his father: "My father! I saw (in a dream) eleven stars and the sun and the moon: I saw them prostrating themselves before me." 4 He said: O my son! recount not thine vision unto thy brethren, lest they plot a plot against thee; verily the Satan is unto man an enemy manifest. 5 Thus thy Lord will prefer thee and will teach thee the interpretation of events, and will perfect His grace upon thee and upon the family of Jacob as He perfected it upon thy forefathers, Abraham and Isaac. Lo! thy Lord is Knower, Wise. 6
