So I swear by whatsoever you see, 38 And by whatsoever you see not, 39 that this is the speech of an honourable Messenger, 40 It is not the speech of a poet (little do you believe) 41 nor is it the work of a soothsayer but only a few of you take heed. 42 It has been revealed by the Lord of the Universe. 43 And if he [i.e., the Prophets] had forged this Discourse and thereafter ascribed it to Us, 44 We surely should have seized him by his right hand (or with power and might), 45 And then severed his life-vein. 46 and not one of you would have been able to withhold Us from doing so. 47 And surely it is an admonition to the God-fearing. 48 And We certainly know that there are amongst you those that reject (it). 49 Indeed, it is a sorrow to the unbelievers 50 And He, He is indeed the ultimate Reality. 51 Extol, then the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name! 52
