98 verses, revealed in Mecca after Initiator (Faater) before T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Kaf Ha Ya 'Ayn Sad. 1 [This is] a mention of the mercy of your Lord to His servant Zechariah 2 When he called upon his Lord in a low voice, 3 He said: "Lord! My bones have grown feeble and my head is glistening with age; yet, never have my prayers to You, my Lord, been unfruitful. 4 But I fear my relatives after me; and my wife is barren. So grant me a successor as a favour from You 5 "Who shall inherit me, and inherit (also) the posterity of Ya'qub (Jacob) (inheritance of the religious knowledge and Prophethood, not the wealth, etc.). And make him, my Lord, one with whom You are Well-pleased!". 6 (He was told): "Zechariah, We bring you the good news of the birth of a son whose name shall be Yahya (John), one whose namesake We never created before." 7 "How can I have a son, O Lord" he said, "when my wife is barren and I am old and decrepit?" 8 He said, "It will be so! Your Lord says, 'It is easy for Me for I created you when you were nothing before.'" 9 Zechariah said: "Lord, grant me a Sign." Said He: "Your Sign is that you shall not be able to speak to people for three nights, though you will be otherwise sound." 10 Then he came out to his people from Al-Mihrab (a praying place or a private room, etc.), he told them by signs to glorify Allah's Praises in the morning and in the afternoon. 11 (To his son came the command): "O Yahya! take hold of the Book with might": and We gave him Wisdom even as a youth, 12 and We also endowed him with tenderness and purity, and he was exceedingly pious 13 kind to his parents, not arrogant or a rebellious person. 14 And Peace be unto him the day he was born and the day he dieth and the day he will be raised up alive. 15

Notes and Instructions
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
