We indeed created man; and We know what his soul whispers within him, and We are nearer to him than the jugular vein. 16 Moreover, there are two scribes, one each sitting on the right and the left, recording everything. 17 He uttereth no word but there is with him an observer ready. 18 And the agony of death cometh in truth. (And it is said unto him): This is that which thou wast wont to shun. 19 And the trumpet is blown. This is the threatened Day. 20 Each soul will come with a driver and a witness. 21 You were heedless of this. Now We have removed your veil and so your vision today is sharp. 22 And his companions shall say: This is what is ready with me. 23 (The sentence will be:) "Throw, throw into Hell every contumacious Rejecter (of Allah)!- 24 every hinderer of the good, transgressor, disquieter, 25 who set up with God another god; therefore, you twain, cast him into the terrible chastisement.' 26 ۞ His comrade saith: Our Lord! I did not cause him to rebel, but he was (himself) far gone in error. 27 He will say, “Do not dispute before Me – I had already warned you of the punishment.” 28 The Word will not be changed in My presence, nor am I an oppressor at all unto My bondmen. 29

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
