Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 for an appointed time? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
