The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence; 1 by the angels who gently release the souls of the believers, 2 and float [through space] with floating serene, 3 And those who race each other in a race 4 Then arrange to do (the Commands of their Lord), 5 On the day when the first trumpet sound blasts 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 On that day hearts beat painfully 8 while eyes will be downcast. 9 They say: “Shall we indeed be restored to life, 10 After having turned to carious bones?" 11 [And] they add, "That, then, would be a return with loss!" 12 So that is not but a single shout. 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 15 When his Lord called to him in Tuwa's holy vale? 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 and say, 'Will you reform yourself? 18 And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 but he cried lies, and rebelled, 21 Then he turned away in a hurry, 22 and gathered his people together 23 And then said, “I am your most supreme lord.” 24 So Allah seized him (and made him) an example for the after (life) and for the former. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
