The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun shall be darkened, 1 when the stars shall scatter away, 2 When the mountains vanish (like a mirage); 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 and when the seas are set on fire, 6 and when all human beings are coupled [with their deeds,] 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 For what sin she was killed 9 And when the written pages of deeds (good and bad) of every person shall be laid open; 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 and when paradise is brought into view: 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 And by the morning when it shineth forth, 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy. 21 And your companion is not insane. 22 he truly saw him on the clear horizon; 23 And he is not avid of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 Whither then will you go? 26 This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). 27 for whosoever of you who would go straight; 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
