Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 Honorable recorders, 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 to burn therein. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
