The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Read: In the name of thy Lord Who createth, 1 created man from a clot [of blood]. 2 Read and your Lord is Most Honorable, 3 The One Who taught to write with the pen. 4 Taught man what he did not know. 5 Nay, but verily man is rebellious 6 As he bethinkest himself selfsufficient. 7 Indeed towards your Lord only is the return. 8 Seest thou one who forbids- 9 A bondman when he offers the prayer? 10 Have you thought, if he had been on guidance 11 and enjoins piety? 12 Have you considered if he gives the lie to the truth and turns (his) back? 13 Does he, then, not know that God sees [all]? 14 Nay, if he desist not, We shall most surely drag him down upon his forehead 15 by the lying forelock steeped in sin. 16 Let him call on his associates for help 17 We will call on the angels of punishment (to deal with him)! 18 No indeed! Do not obey him, but prostrate yourself and come closer to God. ۩ 19
Almighty God's Truth.
