The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

WHEN THE WORLD is shaken up by its cataclysm, 1 and when the earth brings forth its burdens 2 and man cries out, "What has happened to her?" 3 On that day earth will narrate its news, 4 as thy Sustainer will have inspired her to do! 5 On that Day people will go forth in varying states so that they be shown their deeds. 6 So. he who has done an atom's weight of good shall see it 7 And whoso doeth ill an atom's weight will see it then. 8
