[Allah said], "O messengers, eat from the good foods and work righteousness. Indeed, I, of what you do, am Knowing. 51 And verily this religion of yours is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me. 52 But their nations broke their tasks into pieces; every group happy with what it has. 53 But leave them alone, lost in their ignorance, until a [future] time. 54 Do they think that in giving them wealth and children 55 We hasten in good works for them? No, they are not aware. 56 Verily those who live in awe for fear of their Lord; 57 who have full faith in the Signs of their Lord; 58 And those who ascribe not partners unto their Lord, 59 who give, whatever they give in charity, with their hearts trembling at the thought that they are destined to return to their Lord; 60 It is these who race for the good deeds, and they are foremost in them [e.g. offering the compulsory Salat (prayers) in their (early) stated, fixed times and so on]. 61 And We do not burden any soul beyond its capacity, and with Us is a Book* that speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged. (* The preserved tablet or the record of one’s deeds.) 62 But their hearts are in confused ignorance of this; and there are, besides that, deeds of theirs, which they will (continue) to do,- 63 But then when We seize the affluent among them, they will cry out for help. 64 Cry not for succor this day; surely you shall not be given help from Us. 65 Indeed My Verses used to be recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels (denying them, and with hatred to listen to them). 66 behaving arrogantly, and making fun, and talking nonsense (about the Book in your nightly chats)." 67 Is it then that they do not ponder over what is said, or is it that there has come to them that which did not come to their fathers of old? 68 Or is it that they were unaware of their Messenger and were therefore repelled by him for he was a stranger to them? 69 Do they say he is possessed? Rather he has brought them the truth, but most of them are averse to the truth. 70 And were the truth to follow their desires there would have been corrupted the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is therein. Aye! We have come to them with their admonition; so it is from their admonition that they turn away. 71 Or is it that you (O Muhammad SAW) ask them for some wages? But the recompense of your Lord is better, and He is the Best of those who give sustenance. 72 (Muhammad), you certainly have called them to the right path, 73 But indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviating from the path. 74 ۞ And though We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, still they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 We seized them with the punishment, but they did not surrender to their Lord, nor will they humble themselves 76 Until when We open upon them a door of severe chastisement, lo! they are in despair at it. 77
