And those who disbelieve say: What! when we have become dust and our fathers (too), shall we certainly be brought forth? 67 “Indeed this promise was given to us, and before us to our forefathers – this is nothing but stories of former people.” 68 Say: Travel in the earth, then see how was the end of the guilty. 69 Do not grieve over them, nor feel distressed at their schemes. 70 And they say: when will this Promise be fufilled if ye say sooth? 71 Say thou: belike close behind you may be some of that which ye would hasten on. 72 Indeed your Lord is Most Munificent upon mankind, but most men do not give thanks. 73 And indeed, your Lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they declare. 74 for there is nothing [so deeply] hidden in the heavens or on earth but is recorded in [His] clear decree. 75 This Quran explains to the children of Israel much of what they differ over, 76 and it is a guidance and mercy for the believers. 77 Indeed, your Lord will judge between them by His [wise] judgement. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Knowing. 78 So you place your trust in God. Certainly you stand on positive truth. 79 Indeed the dead* do not listen to your call nor do the deaf* listen to your call, when they flee turning back. (The dead and deaf implies the disbelievers.) 80 You cannot guide the straying blind ones. You can only make hear those who believe in Our revelations submissively. 81 ۞ When the sentence will have been passed against them, We shall bring forth beastly brutes from the earth who will torment them, for men certainly do not believe Our signs. 82
