Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 We rescued him and his people from the greatest affliction 76 and We made his seed the survivors, 77 And We let it remain upon him in the latter: 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the nations. 79 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 80 Surely he was one of Our truly believing servants. 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ And indeed Ibrahim is from his (Nooh’s) group. 83 he came to his Lord with a sound heart. 84 and when he said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship? 85 Why do you solicit false gods instead of God? 86 What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds? 87 Then he glanced a glance on the stars. 88 And he said: verily I am about to be sick. 89 So they turned away from him, departing. 90 Then he turned to their aliha (gods) and said: "Will you not eat (of the offering before you)? 91 What is the matter with you, why do you not speak?” 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 whereupon people came to him running. 94 He answered: "Do you worship something that you [yourselves] have carved, 95 Whereas Allah hath created you and that which ye make? 96 "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the raging fire." 97 And they designed a snare for him, but We made them the undermost. 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 So We gave him tidings of a gentle son. 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 And when they had both submitted, and his son had laid down prostrate upon his forehead, 103 We called to him, "Abraham, 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial 106 And We rescued him in exchange of a great sacrifice. (The sacrifice of Ibrahim and Ismail – peace be upon them – is commemorated every year on 10, 11 and 12 Zil Haj). 107 And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 108 Peace be with Abraham. 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. 112 We blessed him and Ishaque (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves. 113
