Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Qaf. By the Glorious Qur'an, 1 They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing: 2 "What! When we die and become dust, (shall we live again?) That is a (sort of) return far (from our understanding)." 3 We know all what the earth decreases from them; and with Us is a Book that retains. 4 But no! They called the truth a lie when it came to them; so they are in a confused state. 5 Have they not then observed the sky above them, how We have constructed it and beautified it, and how there are no rifts therein? 6 And the earth- We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and produced therein every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs)- 7 as a lesson and a reminder to every penitent worshiper. 8 And We sent down the auspicious water from the sky, therefore producing gardens with it, and the grain that is harvested. 9 And the tall palm-trees having spadices closely set one above another, 10 Provision (made) for men; and therewith We quicken a dead land. Even so will be the resurrection of the dead. 11 In the past Noah's people, and the people of Rass and Thamud gave the lie (to Messengers), 12 And the A-ad, and Fir'awn, and the brethren of Lut. 13 and the dwellers of the wooded dales [of Madyan,] and the people of Tubba: they all gave the lie to the apostles - and thereupon that whereof I had warned [them] came true. 14 Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a second creation. 15
