Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 a warning to humankind, 36 Whoever of you desires to progress or lag behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge against its own deeds, 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 What hath brought you to this burning? 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 And we have not been feeding the poor. 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 Till death overtook us. 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 And they will not remember except that Allah wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for [granting] forgiveness. 56
