And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. 80 We brought them signs, but they turned away. 81 They used to hew dwellings in the mountains to live in security. 82 So the scream overcame them at morning. 83 All that they had acquired was of no avail to them. 84 And We have not created the heaven and the earth and that which is in between them save with a purpose. And verily the Hour is surely coming; so overlook thou with a seemly overlooking, 85 Your Lord is the Creator, the Knower. 86 We have given you the seven oft-recited verses and the great Quran. 87 Do not stretch your eyes to that We have given pairs of them to enjoy, nor sorrow for them, and lower your wing to the believers. 88 And say: "I am indeed a plain warner." 89 Like (those) We had sent to those schismatics who slandered their Books 90 Those who have made the scripture bits. 91 By your Lord We shall question them one and all 92 For all their deeds. 93 Then declare what you are commanded and turn away from the polytheists. 94 Surely We will suffice you against the scoffers 95 Who place other gods besides God. They will come to know soon. 96 And assuredly We know that thou straitenest thy breast by that which they say. 97 But celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration. 98 And serve thy Lord till the Inevitable cometh unto thee. 99
