The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Successful indeed are the believers 1 who are submissive to God in their prayers, 2 And who shun vain conversation, 3 and who are intent on inner purity; 4 who strictly guard their private parts 5 Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - 6 Those who desire to go beyond such limits they commit transgression, 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 and who guard their prayers [from all worldly intent]. 9 these are the heirs 10 Heirs of Paradise, they shall abide in it forever. 11 NOW, INDEED, We create man out of the essence of clay, 12 and then We cause him to remain as a drop of sperm in [the wombs] firm keeping, 13 We then turned the drop of fluid into a clot of blood, then the clot into a small lump of flesh, then the lump into bones, then covered the bones with flesh; then developed it in a different mould; therefore Most Auspicious is Allah, the Best Creator. 14 After that you shall surely die, 15 Then you will all be raised on the Day of Resurrection. 16 We have created seven ways above you; of Our creation, We are never inattentive. 17 And We send down water from the skies in accordance with a measure [set by Us,] and then We cause it to lodge in the earth: but, behold, We are most certainly able to withdraw this [blessing]! 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palm and vines; for you therein are fruits many, and thereof ye eat. 19 We have also created for you the tree that grows on Mount Sinai which produces oil and relish for those who use it. 20 You have a lesson in livestock. We provide you with drink from what is in their bellies, and you have many other benefits from them; some of them you eat, 21 and upon them, and on the ships, you are borne. 22
