And there certainly came to the people of Pharaoh warning. 41 but they belied all Our signs so We seized them with the seizing of the Mighty, Powerful. 42 Are your Unbelievers, (O Quraish), better than they? Or have ye an immunity in the Sacred Books? 43 Or do they say, "We are a united group, and we are bound to prevail?" 44 Soon shall the hosts be routed, and they shall turn (their) backs. 45 Nay, but the Hour is their appointed time (for their full recompense), and the Hour will be more grievous and more bitter. 46 Surely the sinners are misguided and insane. 47 The day when they are dragged on their faces into the Fire: 'Taste now the touch of Sakar!' 48 We have indeed created all things by a proper measure. 49 Our commandment is but one word, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 We destroyed many people like you (disbelievers) but is there anyone who would take heed (of Our warning)? 51 [They were truly guilty] because all [the evil] that they ever did had been [revealed to them as such] in the [ancient] books of [divine] wisdom; 52 And every small and great [thing] is inscribed. 53 Surely the godfearing shall dwell amid gardens and a river 54 in a secure abode, in the presence of the Powerful King. 55
