It is He who sends down water from the sky of which you drink, and which nourishes the plants you feed your cattle, 10 and thereby He brings forth for you crops, and olives, and palms, and vines, and all manner of fruit. Surely in that is a sign for a people who reflect. 11 He has subjected for you the night and the day and the sun and the moon and the stars have also been made subservient by His command. Surely there are Signs in this for those who use their reason. 12 And He hath subjected for you whatsoever He hath multiplied for you on the earth of various kinds. Verily therein is a sign for a people who receive admonition. 13 And He it is Who hath constrained the sea to be of service that ye eat fresh meat from thence, and bring forth from thence ornaments which ye wear. And thou seest the ships ploughing it that ye (mankind) may seek of His bounty and that haply ye may give thanks. 14 And He has affixed into the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you, and rivers and roads, that you may guide yourselves. 15 And landmarks; and they are guided by the star. 16 Is then He, Who creates as one who creates not? Will you not then remember? 17 If ye would count up the favours of Allah, never would ye be able to number them: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 18 And Allah knows what you conceal and what you disclose. 19 Those unto whom they cry beside Allah created naught, but are themselves created. 20 they are dead, not living, and they do not [even] know when they will be raised from the dead! 21
