Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 And verily, Lout (Lot) was one of the Messengers. 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 and at night. Do you still not understand? 138
