Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Ha'. Mim. 1 This Book is a revelation from the Most Mighty, the Most Wise. 2 Surely in the heavens and earth there are signs for the believers; 3 And in the creation of yourselves and what He disperses of moving creatures are signs for people who are certain [in faith]. 4 And [in] the alternation of night and day and [in] what Allah sends down from the sky of provision and gives life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness and [in His] directing of the winds are signs for a people who reason. 5 Such are the verses of Allah. We recite them to you in truth. So in what speech, after Allah and His signs, will they believe? 6 Alas the woe for every dissembling sinner 7 Who hears the verses of Allah which are recited to him, then remains stubborn, proud, as if he did not hear them; therefore give him the glad tidings of a painful punishment. 8 And when he learns something of Our Signs, he takes them in jest: for such there will be a humiliating Penalty. 9 In front of them is Hell: and of no profit to them is anything they may have earned, nor any protectors they may have taken to themselves besides Allah: for them is a tremendous Penalty. 10 This (Qur'an) is the true guidance. Those who deny the Signs of their Lord shall suffer the torment of a woeful scourge. 11
