Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 and by the self-reproaching soul! 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Yea indeed, We are able to make whole his very finger-tips! 4 In fact, people want to have eternal life in this world. 5 'When will the Day of Resurrection be' he asks, 6 Yet when the eyes are dazzled, 7 and the moon is darkened, 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?" 10 No indeed; not a refuge! 11 For on that Day the refuge shall be to your Lord. 12 On that day, man will be informed of all what he sent ahead and left behind. 13 But lo, man is well aware of himself, 14 Although he tender his excuses. 15 O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), do not cause your tongue to move along with the Qur’an in order to learn it faster. 16 for, behold, it is for Us to gather it [in thy heart,] and to cause it to be read [as it ought to be read]. 17 So, when We recite it, follow thou its recitation. 18 and then, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 No indeed; but you love the hasty world, 20 And neglect the hereafter. 21 On the Day of Judgment some faces will be bright, 22 Looking at their Lord. 23 And (other) faces on that day shall be gloomy, 24 thou mightest think the Calamity has been wreaked on them. 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 and it is said: 'Who is a healing chanter' 27 And he will realise that this is the parting. 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
