The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 We shall make all your tasks easy. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 But it will be avoided by the wretched, 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 and remembers the Name of his Lord, so he prays. 15 Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
