Al-Aadeyaat

The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the snorting runners (the horses), 1 sparks of fire striking, 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;- 5 Indeed, the human is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 He himself knows this very well. 7 And is intractable in his love of worldly goods. 8 ۞ Is he not aware that when whatever lies (buried) in the graves is overthrown; 9 and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)? 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
