And the dwellers of Al Hijr also belied the Messengers. 80 We also gave them Our Signs, yet they turned away from them. 81 They hewed their dwellings out of the mountains in safety. 82 and the Cry seized them in the morning; 83 And of no avail to them was all that they did (with such art and care)! 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between the two in accordance with the requirements of truth and wisdom. The Hour is surely coming. So overlook [their faults] with gracious forgiveness. 85 Surely your Lord is the All Knowing Creator! 86 We have given you the seven oft-recited verses and the great Quran. 87 Do not even cast your eyes towards the worldly goods We have granted to different kinds of people, nor grieve over the state they are in, but turn your loving attention to the believers instead, 88 And say: "I am a distinct warner," 89 (Of just such wrath) as We sent down on those who divided (Scripture into arbitrary parts),- 90 those who had split up their Qur'an into pieces. 91 So by your Lord, We will surely question them all 92 About all what they used to do. 93 Proclaim then, what you are commanded and turn away from the unbelievers. 94 Lo! We defend thee from the scoffers, 95 who assert that there are, side by side with God, other divine powers as well: for in time they will come to know [the truth]. 96 And well do We know that thy bosom is constricted by the [blasphemous] things that they say: 97 But hymn the praise of thy Lord, and be of those who make prostration (unto Him). 98 And keep worshipping your Lord, till death* comes to you. (* The certainty.) 99
True are the words of God the Almighty.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
