T H (Taa Haa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta' Ha' 1 We have not Sent down on thee the Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed. 2 but only as an exhortation to all who stand in awe [of God]: 3 a revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Most Compassionate Lord is settled on the Throne (of the Universe). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and all that is between them, and all that is under the soil. 6 And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden. 7 Allah! there is no god but He! To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. 8 AND HAS the story of Moses ever come within thy ken? 9 Recall what time he saw a fire and said to his household, bide ye! verily I have perceived a fire! haply I may bring you from it a brand or may find at the fire a guidance. 10 And when he reached it, he was called by name: O Moses! 11 "O Moses, I am verily your Lord, so take off your shoes, for you are in the holy plain of Towa. 12 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed [to you]. 13 Verily I am Allah. There is no god beside Me. So serve Me and establish Prayers to remember Me. 14 "Behold, [although] I have willed to keep it hidden, the Last Hour is bound to come, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with what he strove for [in life]. 15 “Therefore never let one, who does not accept faith in it and follows his own desires, prevent you from accepting this, so then you become ruined.” 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Moses? 17 He said: This is my staff: I recline on it and I beat the leaves with it to make them fall upon my sheep, and I have other uses for it. 18 Allah said: cast it down, O Musa! 19 So he cast it down, and thereupon it turned into a sliding serpent. 20 He said: Take hold of it and fear not; We will restore it to its former state: 21 "Now - as another Sign - place your hand under your arm and it will come out sheer white without harm (or stain). 22 That We may show you of Our greater signs: 23 “Go to Firaun, he has rebelled.” 24
