Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 And those that strike violently, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 and the severally severing 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a known term? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
