The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 and when she-camels big with young, about to give birth, are left untended, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 Upon what sin was she killed for. 9 And when the written pages of deeds (good and bad) of every person shall be laid open; 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 And when hell is lighted, 12 And when the garden is brought nigh, 13 (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward. 14 So I swear by the retreating stars - 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 truly this is the word of a noble Messenger 19 one mighty and held in honour with the Lord of the Throne; 20 Obeyed (by the angels), trustworthy there (in the heavens). 21 Your Companion is not mad, 22 he indeed saw the message-bearer on the clear horizon; 23 And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of an evil spirit accursed. 25 where then are you going? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 To whomsoever among you who wills to walk straight, 28 But you cannot will it unless God, the Sustainer of all the worlds, wills [to show you that way]. 29
Almighty Allah's Truth.
