The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
O you who are clothed! 1 arise and warn, 2 And thy Lord do thou magnify! 3 And your garments purify! 4 And pollution shun. 5 Nor expect, in giving, any increase (for thyself)! 6 And be patient for the sake of your Lord (i.e. perform your duty to Allah)! 7 For when the trumpet shall sound, 8 That will be- that Day - a Day of Distress,- 9 not an easy day for the unbelievers. 10 Let Me alone with him whom I created lonely. 11 and designated for him ample wealth, 12 And children present [with him] 13 I made things smooth and easy for him, 14 Yet he desires that I should give more. 15 Not at all! Surely, he has been disobedient to Our verses. 16 and I shall constrain him to a hard ascent. 17 He reflected, and then determined 18 Ruin seize him, how did he hatch a scheme? 19 Let him be destroyed. How he calculated! 20 Then he looked around, 21 and then he frowns and glares, 22 Then he turned back and was proud; 23 Then he said: "This is nothing but magic from that of old; 24 This is naught else than speech of mortal man. 25 Soon I will cast him into hell. 26 Would that you really knew what hell is! 27 It leaves and spares no one and nothing. 28 It scorches the mortal. 29 Over it are nineteen [angels]. 30 We have appointed only angels to be wardens of the Fire, and their number have We made to be a stumbling-block for those who disbelieve; that those to whom the Scripture hath been given may have certainty, and that believers may increase in faith; and that those to whom the Scripture hath been given and believers may not doubt; and that those in whose hearts there is disease, and disbelievers, may say: What meaneth Allah by this similitude? Thus Allah sendeth astray whom He will, and whom He will He guideth. None knoweth the hosts of thy Lord save Him. This is naught else than a Reminder unto mortals. 31

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
