The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 and produce sparks 2 rushing to assault at morn, 3 and raising clouds of dust, 4 Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army. 5 Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord; 6 and he himself is a witness to that, 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not - when that which is in the graves shall be ransacked? 9 And the secrets of the hearts exposed, 10 Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted. 11
