T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta. Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Koran to you for you to be tired, 2 Except as a reminder for one who fears. 3 a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens 4 The Most Compassionate Lord is settled on the Throne (of the Universe). 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth and what is between them and what is under the soil. 6 Whether or not you express (your thoughts) in words, God certainly knows all unspoken thoughts and all that is even more difficult to find. 7 Allah! There is no Allah save Him. His are the most beautiful names. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa? 9 When he saw the fire, he said to his family, "Wait here for I can see a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a burning torch or find a way to some fire". 10 But when he came close to it, a voice called out: "O Moses! 11 Verily I! I am thy Lord: so take off thy shoes; verily thou art into the holy valley, Tuwa. 12 "I have chosen thee: listen, then, to the inspiration (sent to thee). 13 I am God. There is no deity save Me; so worship Me alone, and say your prayers in My remembrance. 14 Verily the Hour (of the great change) is about to come. I keep it secret that every soul may be rewarded for its endeavour. 15 “Therefore never let one, who does not accept faith in it and follows his own desires, prevent you from accepting this, so then you become ruined.” 16 And what is that in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 He answered: "It is my staff; I lean on it; and with it I beat down leaves for my sheep; and [many] other uses have I for it." 18 (Allah) said, "Throw it, O Moses!" 19 He threw it, and behold! It was a snake, active in motion. 20 [Allah] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to its former condition. 21 And face what is to come with patience, your hand will not be tarnished with blame: Another sign 22 That We may show you [some] of Our greater signs. 23 Go thou unto Pharaoh! Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 24
