And when We settled for Abraham the place of the House: 'Thou shall not associate with Me anything. And do thou purify My House for those that shall go about it and those that stand, for those that bow and prostrate themselves; 26 Announce the Pilgrimage to the people. They will come to you on foot and riding along distant roads on lean and slender beasts, 27 so that they may witness its benefit for them and, on the appointed days may utter the name of God over the cattle He has provided for them. Then eat their flesh, and feed the distressed and the needy -- 28 Thereafter let them end their unkemptness and fulfil their vows and circumambulate the ancient House. 29 That (Manasik prescribed duties of Hajj is the obligation that mankind owes to Allah), and whoever honours the sacred things of Allah, then that is better for him with his Lord. The cattle are lawful to you, except those (that will be) mentioned to you (as exceptions). So shun the abomination (worshipping) of idol, and shun lying speech (false statements) 30 Turning unto Allah (only), not ascribing partners unto Him; for whoso ascribeth partners unto Allah, it is as if he had fallen from the sky and the birds had snatched him or the wind had blown him to a far-off place. 31 To respect the symbols of God is the sign of a pious heart. 32 In that [God-consciousness] you shall find benefits until a term set [by Him is fulfilled,] and [you shall know that] its goal and end is the Most Ancient Temple. 33
