Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the bright forenoon, 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! 4 Your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you orphaned and shelter you? 6 Did He not find you a wanderer so He guided you? 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
