Do you not realize that We have sent Satan to incite the unbelievers to sin. 83 So hasten thou not against them; We are only counting against them a counting. 84 On the day that We shall muster the godfearing to the All-merciful with pomp 85 And will drive the criminals to Hell in thirst 86 [on that Day] none will have [the benefit of] intercession unless he has [in his lifetime] entered into a bond with the Most Gracious. 87 They say: "(Allah) Most Gracious has begotten a son!" 88 You have uttered a grievous thing 89 Which would cleave the skies asunder, rend the earth, and split the mountains, 90 That they ascribe a son (or offspring or children) to the Most Beneficent (Allah). 91 And it behoveth not the Compassionate that he should take a son. 92 Not one of the beings in the heavens and the earth but must come to (Allah) Most Gracious as a servant. 93 Verily He encompasses them and has counted them all. 94 And every one of them will come to Him on the day of resurrection alone. 95 The Lord of Mercy will bestow affection upon those who believe and perform righteous deeds. 96 and only to this end have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own tongue, [O Prophet,] so that thou might convey thereby a glad tiding to the God-conscious, and warn thereby those who are given to [futile] contention: 97 And many a generation We did destroy before them; do you see any one of them or hear their faintest sound? 98
