Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 And helped them so that they became the victors. 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 Salamun (peace) be upon Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)!" 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 AND, BEHOLD, Lot was indeed one of Our message-bearers; 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
