Hizb 46
< random >
And, verily, Yunus (Jonah) was one of the Messengers. 139 When he ran away to a ship completely laden, 140 and sailed away in a laden ship, wherein people cast lots. Because he lost, he was thrown into the water. 141 And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; 142 and had he not been among those who exalt (Allah), 143 He would have stayed in its belly till the day the dead are raised. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick; 145 We made a plant of gourd grow up for him. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. 147 and they believed. So We let them enjoy life for a while. 148 So ask their opinion: “(Are you convinced) that your Lord should have daughters and you should have sons? 149 Or created We the angels females while they were present? 150 Is it not that they say, from their own invention, 151 'God has begotten?' They are truly liars. 152 "He has chosen daughters in preference to sons"! 153 What ails you that you judge in such a wise? 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful. 157 And they imagine kinship between him and the jinn, whereas the jinn know well that they will be brought before (Him). 158 limitless is God in His glory, above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 159 Except His chosen creatures who do not. 160 Wherefore verily neither ye nor that which ye worship, 161 can cause anyone to fall prey to your temptation 162 except him who shall roast in the Blazing Fire. 163 [All forces of nature praise God and say:] "Among us, too, there is none but has a place assigned to it [by Him]; 164 And verily we! we are ranged in ranks. 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 They used to say: 167 Had we but an admonition as had the ancients. 168 we would have been sincere worshipers of Allah' 169 But (now that the Qur'an has come), they reject it: But soon will they know! 170 And verily Our word went forth of old unto Our bondmen sent (to warn) 171 assuredly they shall be helped, 172 And that Our forces,- they surely must conquer. 173 So turn away (O Muhammad SAW) from them for a while, 174 And watch them and they shall see (the punishment)! 175 Do they, then, [really] wish that Our chastisement be hastened on? 176 Then when it descendeth unto them face to face, a hapless morn that shall be for those who were warned. 177 Stay away from them for a while 178 and see, soon they shall see! 179 Glory be to thy Lord, the Lord of Glory, above that they describe! 180 And peace be upon all His message-bearers! 181 And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds. 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
