HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 and of Abraham, who to his trust was true: 37 Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another; 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 That (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 Which then of thy Lord's benefits wilt thou doubt? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 None but God can avert it. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
