The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. 7 And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds). 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 then he shall neither die therein, nor live. 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
