Say: 'Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised, 93 "Then, O my Lord! put me not amongst the people who do wrong!" 94 And verily to shew them that wherewith We threaten them We are surely Able. 95 Repel, by [means of] what is best, [their] evil. We are most knowing of what they describe. 96 Say, "Lord, I seek your protection against the strong temptations of the devils. 97 I seek your protection should they approach me." 98 Until, when death comes to one* of them, he says, “O my Lord, send me back!” (The disbelievers) 99 That I may do some good I did not do (in the world)." Not so. These are only words he utters. Behind them lies the intervening barrier (stretching) to the day of their resurrection. 100 So when the Horn is blown, no relationship will there be among them that Day, nor will they ask about one another. 101 It will be an Hour when those whose scales are heavy, they alone will attain success; 102 and he whose scales are light -- they have lost their souls in Gehenna dwelling forever, 103 The fire will scorch their faces and they will be groaning therein in pain. 104 'What, were My signs not recited to you, and you cried them lies?' 105 They will say: "O Lord, our misery overwhelmed us, so we remained a people astray. 106 O our Lord! take us forth from it; then if we return, we shall be wrong-doers indeed. 107 He (Allah) will say: "Remain you in it with ignominy! And speak you not to Me!" 108 You are those that when a party of My servants said: 'Our Lord, we believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those that are merciful,' 109 But you took them for laughingstock, mocking at them, until they caused you to forget My remembrance. 110 [But,] behold, today I have rewarded them for their patience in adversity: verily, it is they, they who have achieved a triumph!" 111 [Allah] will say, "How long did you remain on earth in number of years?" 112 They will reply: 'A day, or part of a day; ask those who have kept count' 113 He will say: You did tarry but a little-- had you but known (it): 114 Do you think We created you for nothing, and that you will not return to Us?" 115 Exalted then be God, the King, the Real. There is no god but He, the Lord of the glorious throne. 116 And whosoever calls upon another god with God, whereof he has no proof, his reckoning is with his Lord; surely the unbelievers shall not prosper. 117 Hence, [O believer,] say: "O my Sustainer! Grant [me] forgiveness and bestow Thy mercy [upon me]: for Thou art the truest bestower of mercy!" 118
