The dwellers in the wood (of Midian) denied the messengers (of Allah), 176 When Shuaib said to all of them, “Do you not fear?” 177 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 178 So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. 179 my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being. 180 ۞ "[Always] give full measure, and be not among those who [unjustly] cause loss [to others]; 181 Weigh with correct scales: 182 And do not wrong men of their things, and do not act corruptly in the earth, making mischief. 183 And fear Him who created you and all the earlier people." 184 They said: thou art but of the bewitched; 185 "You are but a human being like us and verily, we think that you are one of the liars! 186 "Now cause a piece of the sky to fall on us, if thou art truthful!" 187 Answered [Shu'ayb]: "My Sustainer knows fully well what you are doing." 188 They rejected him, and then had to suffer the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom. That was indeed the punishment of an awful day. 189 Surely, in this is indeed a sign; but most of them would not believe: 190 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 191
