1/2 Hizb 45

۞ (It will be said to the angels): "Assemble those who did wrong, together with their companions (from the devils) and what they used to worship. 22 "Instead of Allah, and lead them on to the way of flaming Fire (Hell); 23 And halt them so that they may be questioned. 24 “What is the matter with you, that you do not help one another?” 25 In fact this day they have all surrendered. 26 And some of them shall advance towards others, questioning each other. 27 They will say: verily ye! ye were wont to come unto us Imposing. 28 Those say, 'No; on the contrary, you were not believers; 29 And we had no authority over you, but you were an inordinate people; 30 But now our Sustainer's word has come true against us [as well]: verily, we are bound to taste [the fruit of our sins]. 31 So then, [if it be true that] we have caused you to err grievously - behold, we ourselves had been lost in grievous error!" 32 So they shall on that day be sharers in the chastisement one with another. 33 Verily We! in this wise We deal with the culprits. 34 Surely they used to behave proudly when it was said to them: There is no god but Allah; 35 and said: “Shall we forsake our deities for the sake of a distracted poet?” 36 Nay! he has come with the (very) Truth, and he confirms (the Message of) the messengers (before him). 37 (They will be told): “You shall taste the grievous chastisement. 38 And be rewarded but only for what you had done, 39 But Allah's chosen servants (shall be spared this woeful end). 40 [in the hereafter,] theirs shall be a sustenance which they will recognize 41 fruits of various kinds; and they shall be honoured, 42 in gardens of bliss, 43 On thrones facing one another. 44 A bowl shall be made to go round them from water running out of springs, 45 white, sparkling (wine), a delight to the drinkers. 46 Free from headiness; nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 47 And with them are those of modest gaze, with lovely eyes, 48 As if they were eggs, safely hidden. 49 They advance one upon another, asking each other questions. 50 The speaker among them said, “I had a companion.” 51 Who used to say: Art thou in truth of those who put faith (in his words)? 52 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then be certainly brought to judgment? 53 He shall say: Will you look on? 54 Then looketh he and seeth him in the depth of hell. 55 He said: "By Allah! thou wast little short of bringing me to perdition! 56 But for the Favor of Allah I should have surely been among those who were arraigned (with you in Hell). 57 (Another will say:)"Is it true, we are not going to die 58 Saving our former death, and are we not to be punished? 59 Indeed, this is the mighty victory, 60 For the like of it should the workers work. 61 Is this better as an entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 Lo! We have appointed it a torment for wrong-doers. 63 It is a tree that grows at the bottom of Hell. 64 Its crop is as it were the heads of devils 65 They will eat from it and fill their bellies with it; 66 On top of it they shall have a brew of boiling water, 67 And thereafter verily their return is unto the Flaming Fire. 68 They had found their fathers astray, 69 Yet they hasten to follow in their footsteps. 70 So had many an earlier people gone astray, 71 And verily We sent among them warners. 72 Then see what was the end of those who were admonished (but heeded not),- 73 Only Our sincere servants were saved. 74
