Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 Till an appointed term, 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
