The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the hills are moved, 3 when the ten-months pregnant camels shall be abandoned, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 and when all human beings are coupled [with their deeds,] 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 And when Hell-fire shall be kindled to fierce ablaze. 12 And when the Garden is brought nigh, 13 A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. 14 So, I call the receding stars to witness, 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 and sit during the day, or by the darkening night 17 and the morn as it breathes. 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed and worthy there of trust. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 he indeed saw the message-bearer on the clear horizon; 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 So where are you going? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 However, you will not be able to choose anything unless God, Lord of the Universe wills it to be so. 29
