The people of Lut gave the lie to the apostles. 160 Their brother Lot asked them, "Why do you not have fear of God? 161 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 162 So fear Allah and obey me. 163 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 164 Do you approach males among the worlds 165 leaving your wives that your Lord created for you? Nay, but you are a people of transgressors. 166 They said: "If thou desist not, O Lut! thou wilt assuredly be cast out!" 167 He said, “I am disgusted with your works.” 168 My Lord, deliver me and my people from that they do.' 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 171 Then We utterly destroyed the others. 172 And We rained on them a rain. So ill was the rain on those warned? 173 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 174 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 175
