Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed Yunus is one of the Noble Messengers. 139 when he ran away to the laden ship 140 Then he joined the lots, and was of the condemned. 141 And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; 142 and had he not been among those who exalt (Allah), 143 He would have remained in its belly till the day when all will be raised. 144 ۞ but We cast him upon the wilderness, and he was sick, 145 And We made a gourd tree grow over him. 146 and We sent him forth to a nation of a hundred thousand or more, 147 And they came to believe; so We allowed them to enjoy the good things of life for an age. 148 So ask their opinion: “(Are you convinced) that your Lord should have daughters and you should have sons? 149 Did We create the angels as females the while they witnessed?” 150 Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say, 151 "God has begotten children." They are truly liars. 152 Did He choose daughters rather than sons? 153 Woe to you! How terrible is your Judgment. 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or have you, perchance, a clear evidence [for your assertions]? 156 Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful! 157 And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment-Seat)! 158 Glory be to Allah (for freedom) from what they describe; 159 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 160 So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship, 161 you shall tempt none against Him 162 Except he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire. 163 (Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed; 164 "And we are truly those who stand in rows, 165 Verily, we (angels), we are they who glorify (Allah's Praises i.e. perform prayers). 166 AND, INDEED, they [who deny the truth] have always been wont to say, 167 'If only we had had a Reminder from the ancients, 168 “We would certainly be the chosen bondmen of Allah.” 169 But they disbelieve in it (the Koran), but soon they shall know! 170 Already has Our Word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us), 171 that, verily, they - they indeed - would be succoured, 172 and that, verily, Our hosts - they indeed - would [in the end] be victorious! 173 So turn thou aside from them for a season. 174 and see, and soon they too shall see. 175 Then for Our punishment are they impatient? 176 When it descends upon their courtyards, evil will be the morning of those forewarned. 177 Stay away from them for a while 178 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 179 Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! 180 Peace be on the Messengers. 181 and praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being. 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
