Yet man says: "When I am dead, will I come to life again?" 66 But does man not remember that We created him when he was nothing before? 67 Now, by thy Lord, We shall surely muster them, and the Satans, then We shall parade them about Gehenna hobbling on their knees. 68 and thereupon We shall, indeed, draw forth from every group [of sinners] the ones that had been most determined in their disdainful rebellion against the Most Gracious: 69 for, indeed, We know best as to which of them is most deserving of the fires of hell. 70 And there is not one of you but shall come to it; this is an unavoidable decree of your Lord. 71 We shall deliver those who took heed for themselves, and leave the evil-doers kneeling there. 72 When Our clear revelations are recited to them, those who deny the truth say to the faithful, "Which of the two sides is better in respect of position and makes a more impressive assembly?" 73 How many generations of greater prosperity and splendor have We destroyed before them? 74 Say, "Whoever is in error - let the Most Merciful extend for him an extension [in wealth and time] until, when they see that which they were promised - either punishment [in this world] or the Hour [of resurrection] - they will come to know who is worst in position and weaker in soldiers." 75 And God endows those who avail themselves of [His] guidance with an ever-deeper consciousness of the right way; and good deeds, the fruit whereof endures forever, are, in thy Sustainer's sight, of far greater merit [than any worldly goods,] and yield far better returns. 76 Hast thou seen him who disbelieveth in Our revelations and saith: Assuredly I shall be given wealth and children? 77 Has he known the unseen or has he taken a covenant from the Most Beneficent (Allah)? 78 By no means! We shall write down all what he says; and We shall greatly prolong his chastisement, 79 and divest him of all that he is [now] speaking of: for [on Judgment Day] he will appear before Us in a lonely state. 80 They have taken other gods apart from God that they might be a strength to them. 81 No! Those "gods" will deny their worship of them and will be against them opponents [on the Day of Judgement]. 82
