Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Ya-Sin. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 I call to witness the Qur'an, custodian of all laws, -- 2 Indeed you, [O Muhammad], are from among the messengers, 3 On a right way. 4 (and this Qur'an) is a revelation from the Most Mighty, the Most Compassionate 5 In order that you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are heedless. 6 (I swear) that most of them are doomed to be punished. They have no faith. 7 Lo! We have put on their necks carcans reaching unto the chins, so that they are made stiff-necked. 8 and We have put before them a barrier and behind them a barrier; and We have covered them, so they do not see. 9 It is the same whether you have warned them or you have not warned them, they do not believe. 10 You can only warn him who follows the reminder and fears the Beneficent Allah in secret; so announce to him forgiveness and an honorable reward. 11 It is We indeed who bring back the dead to life, and write down what they send ahead (of their deeds), and traces that they leave behind. We keep an account of all things in a lucid register. 12
