Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 For a known extent. 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 and yellow camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
