The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heavens with constellations, 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 Verily those who believed and worked righteous works, theirs shall be Gardens whereunder the rivers flow; that is the supreme achievement. 11 Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 The Doer of whatever He wants. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
