The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Alif Lam Mim. 1 THIS DIVINE WRIT - let there be no doubt about it - is [meant to be] a guidance for all the God-conscious. 2 Who believe in the Unseen, and establish prayer, and out of that wherewith We have provided them expend. 3 And who believe in that which hath been sent down unto thee and that which hath been sent down before thee and of the Hereafter they are convinced. 4 These are guided by their Lord; these surely are the prosperous. 5 As for those who are bent on denying the truth, it makes no difference to them whether you warn them or not, they will not believe. 6 Allah has sealed their hearts and their ears, and on their eyes is a covering; and for them is a terrible punishment. 7
